Vegetable Pudina Fritters

Ingredients

1. 5 fresh bread slices
2. Grated carrots (1 large)
3. Finely chopped onions (1 medium)
4. 1 green chili chopped
5. ½ tsp garam masala
6. salt as needed
7. Handful of mint/ pudina - finely chopped
8. Handful of coriander leaves - finely chopped
9. ¼ to ½ tsp grated ginger.
10. ¼ tsp cumin/ jeera
11. 2 tbsps rice flour/maida
12. 1 to 2 tbsp water
13. Grated cheeze 1 cube
14. Chat masala to sprinkle
15. Oil for frying

Instructions

1. Tear off the bread slices to pieces.
2. Add them to a mixing bowl.
3. Add ginger, carrots, onions, pudina, coriander leaves, salt, green chili,c cheeze grated, cumin, garam masala.
4. Mix them gently and check if water is needed.
5.  If the veggies used has lot of moisture then you may not need any water.Add 1 to 2 tbsp water if needed and begin to mix.
6. Add rice/maida flour and make a dough.
7. Heat oil for frying.
8. Divide the mixture and make balls.
9. Flatten them gently and make a patty. Do not make thick patties, they should be thin otherwise the vada will have the taste of dough.
10. Drop these in hot oil and fry on a medium heat.These tend to turn brown quickly, so keep watching.
11. Fry them stirring often and flipping to both the sides.
12. When bread vada turns golden, remove them to a kitchen tissue, sprinkle some chat masala it is optional.
13.Serve hot with any chutney or tea.

Note : Chicken kheema can be added if you want to make non veg vada.
