Palak Paneer
Ingredients : -
1.Boil palak with pinch of soda so it stays green and boil till the raw smell goes off. Once boiled grind it in mixer with little water.
2. Onion finely chopped
3. Red chilly powder
4. Ginger garlic paste (I prefer home made)
5. Haldi powder
6. Salt for taste
7. Sugar for taste (Optional)
8. Ghee and Amul butter for cooking
Method :-
1. Grind the palak to a fine paste.
2. Chop onion the way you cut for pav bhaji.
3. Take ghee and little butter in pan and heat till it reaches the heating point.
4. Add onion and pinch of salt for onion moisture to go.
5. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off.
6. Then haldi powder and red chilly powder and saute well on low flame.
7. Now you can add palak paste with little water as per the consistency you would like to have.
8. While palak is cooking add butter and very little sugar if u like.
9. Once butter melts add paneer pieces and close the lid let it cook for 2 minutes on low flame..
10. Tada your palak paneer is ready.
11. Add salt in the last once butter is melted . Check the taste of palak first and then add salt as butter tends to make sabji little salty.
Note : for 1 bunch of palak medium onion and rest ingredient be added as per the taste you prefer.
You can have this palak without paneer and instead can put some other vegetables if paneer not available for eg. Fried Corn kernels / Boiled Chicken / potatoes Fried.
