Tava Surmai Fry

Ingredient


1. Surmai fish pieces 6 (I prefer King Surmai)
2. Coriander Leaves 1 cup
3. Lemon juice one spoon or as per the taste you want
4. Ginger 2 inch
5. Garlic 10/15 Cloves
6. Red Chilli Powder
7. Turmeric Powder.
7. Salt
8. Oil for stir fry.
9. Semolina (Rava)
10. Chickpea Floor (Besan)

Method


1. Marinate fish with Some Salt and then wash it after 10 minutes.
2. Then for marinating grind Ginger, Garlic and Coriander and make a fine paste.
3. Marinate fish pieces with this paste along with lemon juice, Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, and Salt. Mix well and ensure that all the fish pieces are covered with this paste.
4. Let it marinate for 1 hour minimum.
5. For coating fish in a plate take half a cup of Semolina and 1 cup of Chickpea, Salt, Red Chilli Powder, and Turmeric and mix it well.
6. Coat marinated fish pieces with the coating mixture, ensure it covers entire fish.
6. Heat pan on high flame, once pan is heated add oil to it and ensure it spreads evenly across the pan.
7. Now reduce the flame and put pieces of fish on the pan, make sure you don’t overcrowd.
8. Let it cook 10-12 minutes till the coating becomes nice and crispy. Cooking it on low flame ensures that the fish is cooked properly inside.
9. Flip it and let it cook till the coating becomes crispy.
10. If oil is less keep adding oil from the sides and when you flip.
11. Serve it with Onions as a Starter.

Please Note: Add vinegar and Chat Masala to the onion and have along with the fish.
